WOK Buffet Torrevieja: Our First-Hand Review of This All-You-Can-Eat Buffet
If you are looking for a WOK Buffet in Torrevieja with a huge choice of seafood, fish, meat, Asian dishes, vegetables and desserts, this is one of those restaurants where deciding what to put on your plate can take longer than eating it.
During our visit, what impressed us most was not simply the size of the buffet. It was the variety. Alongside the usual ready-made dishes, there was a large selection of raw seafood, fish, meat and vegetables that could be taken to the cooking station and prepared for you.
For seafood lovers in particular, this makes the restaurant much more interesting than a standard inexpensive buffet.

Our First Impression
From outside, WOK Buffet looks like a large restaurant rather than a small local Chinese takeaway. Once inside, that impression becomes even stronger.
The dining room is spacious, with long buffet counters running through the centre and tables arranged around them. There is also a substantial bar at the back.
The restaurant is not trying to be a romantic fine-dining venue. This is a practical, casual place built around choice and quantity.
And there is a lot to choose from.

The buffet is divided into different areas, making it relatively easy to work out where everything is. During our visit we found sections for seafood, ingredients for the wok and grill, cooked dishes, salads, fruit and desserts.
One useful feature is the clear signage above or beside the different sections, including WOK, PLANCHA / GRIDDLE, SEAFOODS, DESSERTS and ICE CREAM.
The Seafood Selection Was the Highlight
For us, the most impressive part of the entire WOK Buffet Torrevieja experience was the seafood counter.

There was a genuinely large selection laid out for customers to choose from.
We saw prawns, shellfish, mussels, clams, squid and different types of fish, alongside salmon and other seafood options. Instead of being limited to a couple of pre-cooked seafood dishes, you could choose what you actually wanted to eat.
That makes a big difference.

The raw seafood display was one of the strongest visual features of the restaurant. Large sections of the counter were filled with fish and shellfish ready to be selected and cooked.
If you normally choose prawns, squid, mussels or fish when eating out, this section alone gives you plenty to experiment with.

We particularly liked being able to combine several different types of seafood rather than ordering one fixed dish.
You can take a small amount first, see what you like, and then return for more. That is one of the biggest advantages of this type of buffet.
Fresh Fish Cooked on the Plancha
The restaurant is not limited to food sitting under heat lamps.
One of its best features is the cooking station.
You choose the raw fish, seafood or other ingredients you want and take them to the cooking area, where a member of staff cooks them on the hot griddle.

We watched our seafood being cooked directly in front of us. Prawns, squid and other seafood went straight onto the large hot plate.
For us, this was considerably better than simply taking everything from the prepared buffet.

Freshly cooked seafood has a completely different texture, especially with prawns and squid. It also gives you more control over your meal because you decide exactly what goes onto the plate before it reaches the grill.
Later, we also had fish cooked on the same plancha.
The process is straightforward and is one of the main reasons we would recommend trying the grill rather than filling your entire plate with ready-made food.
If this is your first visit, our suggestion is simple: do not ignore the raw seafood and grill section.
It is one of the best parts of the restaurant.
Wok and Cooked Dishes
Of course, not everyone wants seafood.
There is also a substantial selection of cooked food.

During our visit, the hot buffet included familiar Asian-style options such as fried chicken, spring rolls, noodles and various meat dishes with different sauces.
The labels along the counter make choosing easier. We saw dishes including fried chicken wings and chicken rolls, alongside several other prepared options.
There were enough choices that someone who does not eat seafood could still have a very substantial meal.

This is also where the buffet format works well for groups.
One person can concentrate on seafood, another can choose meat and noodles, while someone else can stick mainly to vegetables or lighter dishes. Nobody has to agree on one cuisine or share the same type of meal.
Vegetables and Ingredients for the Wok
Another large section contains vegetables and ingredients that can be combined for wok-style cooking.

We saw broccoli, cauliflower, aubergine, courgette, peppers, asparagus, bean sprouts and other vegetables.
This gives you the option of creating something much lighter than the fried food normally associated with an all-you-can-eat buffet.
It also means you can build your own combination rather than relying entirely on prepared dishes.
For us, that variety is important. A buffet can become repetitive very quickly if everything is battered, fried or covered in sauce. Here, there were enough fresh ingredients to balance the heavier options.
Sushi and Other Choices
The restaurant also has sushi and other Asian dishes as part of the wider buffet selection.
We would not describe WOK Buffet primarily as a specialist sushi restaurant – that would give the wrong impression. Sushi is one part of a much larger buffet.
The real strength here is variety rather than specialisation.
You can have a little sushi, move on to seafood, have freshly grilled fish, try a cooked dish and finish with fruit or dessert.
That is the type of meal this restaurant does best.
Desserts, Fruit and Ice Cream
After several rounds of seafood and hot food, there is still a sizeable dessert section.

During our visit we found fresh fruit alongside individual desserts, cakes and other sweets.
The fruit selection included options such as watermelon, bananas, oranges and other seasonal fruit.
There were also small individual desserts, which are useful in a buffet because you can try several without taking a huge portion of any one thing.

There is also an ice-cream section.
We liked having fruit available because after a large seafood and grill meal, something fresh can be more appealing than another heavy dessert.
Of course, if you still have room, there are plenty of sweeter alternatives.
Drinks and Bar
Drinks are separate from the food buffet, and there is a full bar inside the restaurant.

The drinks menu we saw included beer, cider, sangria, soft drinks, water, coffee and spirits.
For example, the menu listed Spanish beers as well as brands such as Budweiser and Corona, plus Strongbow and Kopparberg cider. Sangria was available by the glass and in larger quantities.

One important point: do not assume drinks are included in the buffet price. Check what is included when you arrive.
Prices can change, so we would not plan a visit based on an old photograph of the menu. Treat our photo as an example of what was available during our visit rather than a permanent price list.
What the Restaurant Is Like Inside
WOK Buffet Torrevieja is large and fairly functional.

There are plenty of tables and the buffet occupies much of the central area. The dark walls, orange table settings and large bar give the restaurant a distinctive appearance.
It is not an intimate restaurant where you would necessarily come for a quiet candlelit dinner.
That is not really the point.
You come here because you want plenty of choice and the freedom to try different foods.
For families or groups where everyone wants something different, the format makes a lot of sense.
How the Buffet Works
If you have never been to this type of WOK buffet in Spain, the system is simple.
You pay for the buffet and then choose your food from the different counters. Prepared dishes can be taken directly to your table.
For raw fish, seafood, meat or vegetables, choose what you want and take it to the relevant cooking station.

Staff then cook the food for you.
You can return to the buffet for additional servings, which means there is no reason to overload your first plate.
In fact, we think doing the opposite gives you a better experience.
Take smaller portions. Try them. Then go back for the things you genuinely enjoyed.
What We Would Do Differently Next Time
The biggest mistake at any large buffet is trying to eat everything.
There is simply too much food.
If we returned, we would concentrate even more heavily on the freshly cooked options.
We would start with a small selection of seafood, have it grilled, then perhaps try fish or another combination from the cooking station. Only after that would we explore the prepared dishes.
Why?
Because fried chicken, noodles and spring rolls can be found in countless restaurants. A counter filled with prawns, shellfish, squid and fresh fish that you can select yourself is much more interesting.
That is where WOK Buffet offers something worth remembering.
Is WOK Buffet Torrevieja Good for Seafood Lovers?
Yes – this is probably the group we would recommend it to most strongly.

The seafood selection was substantially broader than we expected from a casual buffet.
Being able to see the ingredients before choosing them is also useful. You are not simply ordering something called a “seafood mix” without knowing what will arrive.
You decide what goes onto your plate.
For someone who does not like seafood, there are still many alternatives, but seafood lovers are likely to get the most value from the experience.
Is It Good for Families?
Yes.
Buffets are naturally convenient for families because nobody needs to agree on one type of food.
Children who prefer simple food can choose familiar dishes, while adults can explore the seafood, fish, meat and wok stations.
Desserts, fruit and ice cream also make the restaurant particularly easy for families.
The only thing we would watch with younger children is the movement around the buffet and cooking areas, especially when the restaurant is busy.
Is It Good for Couples?
We visited as a couple and enjoyed it.
It is not the restaurant we would choose for an elegant anniversary dinner, but that is a different question.
For a casual lunch or dinner where both people enjoy trying different foods, it works well.
You can also make the experience more enjoyable by taking your time rather than treating it as a challenge to eat as much as physically possible.
Is WOK Buffet Torrevieja Worth It?
For the right person, yes.
If you eat very little and simply want one carefully prepared restaurant dish, an all-you-can-eat buffet probably does not make much sense.
But if you enjoy variety – and particularly if you like seafood – the value proposition becomes much stronger.
The ability to combine prepared dishes with ingredients cooked freshly on the grill is the key advantage.
We would choose the freshly prepared seafood over the standard fried buffet dishes every time.

Our Tips Before Visiting
Our main recommendation is to arrive hungry, but do not rush.
Walk around the entire buffet before filling your first plate. Otherwise, you may fill up on the first dishes you see and discover something much better five minutes later.
Pay particular attention to the seafood and grill sections.
Start with smaller portions, especially if you want to try several unfamiliar items.
If you choose raw seafood or fish, take it to the cooking station and have it prepared fresh.
And remember that an all-you-can-eat buffet does not mean you need to eat everything in sight. The best value comes from being able to choose exactly what you enjoy.
Final Verdict – Our WOK Buffet Torrevieja Experience
Our visit to WOK Buffet Torrevieja turned out to be much more about fresh seafood than we initially expected.
The enormous buffet is impressive, but size alone would not make us recommend a restaurant.
What made the difference was the combination of choice and freshly cooked food.

Being able to pick prawns, squid, fish and other seafood and then watch it being cooked on the plancha made the meal more enjoyable than simply working our way through trays of prepared dishes.
There are plenty of options for people who prefer meat, noodles, sushi, vegetables or desserts, so it is also an easy choice for a family or group with different tastes.
Would we return?
Yes – particularly for the seafood and freshly grilled fish.
If you are staying in or around Torrevieja and enjoy large all-you-can-eat restaurants, WOK Buffet is worth considering. Just make sure you explore the whole buffet before deciding what deserves space on your plate.
